The World Trade Center Transportation Hub represents a landmark public transit and civil infrastructure redevelopment in Lower Manhattan executed under the authority of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ). The project encompassed the construction of the central Oculus terminal, extensive subterranean pedestrian concourses, street-level municipal utilities, and complex intermodal connections across eleven New York City Transit subway lines, PATH commuter rail systems, and the Battery Park City Ferry Terminal.
